Overview

Verathon® is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to become the newest member of our Accounts Payable Team located in Bothell, Washington. This position requires a flexible individual with an openness to change, excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse group of associates and in cross-functional teams and international cultures.

This position will support the accounting team by adapting their past accounts payable experience and knowledge in a wide range of responsibilities. This position will be an integral part of our accounting team, assisting in areas of accounts payable and general accounting. The ideal candidate will apply their Accounts Payable experience to learn quickly and has a desire to grow by continuously looking for new and challenging opportunities. Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and outstanding organizational skills are a must.

Responsibilities

•    Process 3-way matching of invoices, POs and packing slips
•    Responsible to direct and organize the AP email boxes for multiple entities, providing timely responses to vendor inquires
•    Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies
•    Use Excel skills to summarize and prepare information 
•    Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
•    Assist with other projects as needed and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

•    1+ years of Accounts Payable or a combination of AP, GL, AR experience is preferred but not required
•    High school diploma required, college courses in accounting preferred
•    Must have strong work ethics
•    Must be well organized and a self-starter
•    Strong attention to detail, professional attitude, reliable
•    Experience in Excel and Word, 10-key by touch, ERP experience a plus
•    Possess the desire for continuous learning, development, and opportunities for growth
•    Possess strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize 
•    Being a team player, proactive, and highly focused
•    Possess problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
•    Knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures preferred
•    Ability to perform tasks with supervision; comfortable working in a fast-paced setting where meeting of time-sensitive deadlines is usually required
•    Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with employees in a professional manner
•    Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness

 

Salary range - $22.30 - $27.40  (Compensation will vary based on skills, experience and location; it is not typical to be hired at or above the top of the salary range).

 

Full-time employees who are not on a commission plan are eligible for Verathon’s annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance.
