Overview

Verathon® is looking for a Senior Product Manager to become the newest member of our Marketing Team located in Bothell, WA. This is a part-time 30 hour a week role.  
 
The Senior Product Manager is responsible for leading new product marketing launches and lifecycle portfolio management to achieve product line growth and profitability for the Visualization Business Unit (VBU). The individual will monitor and track product success of existing products to achieve product-line growth and profitability targets.  The individual will also be responsible for driving appropriate programs to maximize market adoption as well as analyzing and reporting on monthly product performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage new product introduction marketing strategies and cross functional implementation of plans globally
• Responsible for new product performance. Recommend improvements and action steps to drive new product launch success
• Create, track, and maintain key performance indicators of NPI success
• Partner with sales to manage new product introduction training and demo deployment
• Responsible for product marketing strategy, mix, growth, and profitability performance 
• Develop marketing deliverables and sales tools (literature, brochures, website content, etc.)
• Take charge of promotions and demo effectiveness
• Initiate and drive sales campaigns to improve product performance where and when needed.
• Aid the sales organization for technical questions, solution features, pricing, and value-based justifications
• Develop and execute annual marketing plan around specific product lines with detailed plans on growing product categories
• Determine End of Sales and End of Service timelines in coordination with product planning
• Manage execution of end-of-life strategies
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify and address quality and operational issues
• Analyze product-line performance, forecast future product trends and monitor competitive activity and industry developments impacting business
• Conduct in-depth market analysis and complex problem solving to drive business results  
• Establish key performance indicators and report monthly on performance to ensure product performance is on track
• Track key competitors and lead internal communication and competitive strategies 
• Monitor and analyze customer feature requests and market trends
• Recommend product enhancements to extend the product lifecycle
• Develop strong understanding of global customer environments through customer analyses.
• Lead market research and competitive studies to be expert on buyers, buying behavior, competition, and industry trends 
• Responsible for pricing insight, competitive pricing, and annual price realignment recommendations
• Provide project leadership and best practices across product portfolio initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; MBA preferred
• 7+ years of product management experience in global markets, including product launch and geography specific marketing research and market adoption programs
• Collaborative skills with prior success in influencing and persuading others who are not direct reports, preferably in a matrix organization
• Proven experience in delivering results with the ability to establish competitive positioning based on market intelligence, financials, and technology drivers
• Demonstrated experience in pricing strategy and competitive positioning
• Ability to build market models and lead cross-functionally to attain model targets
• Ability to develop and execute product lifecycle strategies
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• 20% domestic and international travel is required

 

Salary range - $107,100 to $132,900.  Please note that this role is a part-time 30 hour a week position.  The salary range is reflective of the part-time status.  (Compensation will vary based on skills, experience and location; it is not typical to be hired at or above the top of the salary range).

 

Full-time employees who are not on a commission plan are eligible for Verathon’s annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance.
