Verathon® is looking for an HR Generalist to become the newest member of our Human Resources Team located in Bothell, WA. This is a temporary position, 6–9-month contract, with the possibility of conversion to a regular full-time role based on business needs and individual performance.
The HR Generalist reports to the HR Operations Manager and is responsible for administration and coordination of a variety of Human Resources processes which may include employee onboarding/offboarding, leave administration, benefits, performance management, learning and development, as well as employee recognition programs. Other responsibilities include maintaining accurate employee information in HR Systems, ad hoc reporting, and special projects, as needed. The ideal candidate will apply their expertise to perform a broad range of tasks and be a mature knowledge source for customers, leaders, and co-workers.
• Responsible for managing accurate employee records in human resources systems) including new hires, transfers, merit increases and terminations.
• Assist with internal and external HR audits and compliance, including Affirmative Aciton Plan (AAP) reporting
• Process internal benefits and payroll forms, including Wellness Reimbursements, merit increases, and out-of-cycle increases/bonuses
• Leverage technology to facilitate and improve internal HR processes and procedures
• Administers the company-wide people programs, including the recognition and anniversary program
• Helps shape program promotions and manages communications
• Liaise between management and the third party leave administration company, providing leave guidance to employees and management
• Proactively educate employees on benefits and other HR programs
• Administers the employee onboarding process including new hire forms, orientation and facilitation of onboarding tasks needed for , and generating employee files
• Support Sales Credentialing, Onboarding and Field Sales Trainer processes
• Provide Learning Management System (LMS) Administrative Support – profile creation and assignment of eLearning classes for all new hires
• Communicate organizational culture, policies and procedures, tools and resources to the leadership team and employees.
• Coach and consult with leaders on HR policies/processes, labor laws and regulations. May manage employee relations, as needed.
• Complete ad hoc projects like job description updates, employer branding tasks, , new hire paperwork audits and salary survey data preparation, as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required
• 5+ years of HR experience
• Strong customer focus and communication skills
• Outstanding organizational skills and strong attention to detail
• Basic knowledge of relevant federal and state labor laws & regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and safeguard confidential information
• MS Office experience including Excel and Outlook
• Proven ability to successfully manage data, including experience with HR systems
