Overview

Verathon® is looking for a Director, Human Resources, to become the newest member of our HR Leadership Team located in Bothell, WA.

 

We are looking for a Director, Human Resources, to lead the HR Business Partner team. The HRBP team provides strategic guidance and support on the following aspects of HR: performance management, organization design, talent management, and employee relations.


In this role, you will directly serve as the Primary HRBP to selected internal business teams in addition to leading the HRBP team and the internal business groups they support.

Responsibilities

HR Team Leader

  • Lead and develop the HR Business Partner team with direct reports in the US, Canada and EMEA.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture by managing employee relations, addressing concerns, and promoting employee engagement.
  • Build and lead the HRBP team to focus on talent transformation across the enterprise.
  • Strong people leadership skills, emphasizing team development and engagement.
  • Actively engage, and partner with HR functional leaders such as Talent Acquisition, and HR Operations.
  • Act as program manager on annual people processes, such as promotions, talent review and annual sales compensation planning.
  • Drive HR initiatives from inception to completion, and plan for sustainment.

Business Partnership & Influence

  • Serve as a strategic partner to leadership on HR-related issues, acting as an employee advocate and change agent. This would include managing routine rhythm of the business process such as talent assessment, compensation and client-centric programs such as coaching plans and organizational design.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies that support the business objectives across all geographies (US, Canada, Middle East and Europe).
  • Analyze people analytics trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies to improve organizational health in the areas of the business that you support.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee engagement issues, conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations when necessary. Serve as a coach and advisor to HRBP’s conducting an internal investigation.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve teamwork, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provide guidance and input on organizational effectiveness, workforce and succession planning, and employee relations.
  • Strong executive presence with a capacity to drive strategic change.
  • Experience in translating business shifts into actionable talent strategies.
  • Leverage data and insights to assess and drive action to elevate customer and partner experience and demonstrate expertise in developing and implementing both reactive and proactive employee relations strategies and plans in close collaboration with organizational leadership.
  • Act as a first point of contact for employees and managers regarding general HR queries (e.g., policy clarifications, documentation, process timelines).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of direct people management experience, leading employees in a global capacity.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR, with at least 5 years in a business partner role.
  • Direct and/or indirect experience supporting teams in Canada, EMEA and APAC.
  • Direct experience partnering with a commercial sales organization is highly preferred.
  • Confidence with multiple aspects of HR, including HR Operations, Compensation and Employee Relations.
  • Willingness and ability to "roll up your sleeves" and create/execute work while also being a strategic thought partner and leader.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to develop trusting relationships to gain support and achieve results.
  • Effective at managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines and experience successfully managing shifting priorities as business needs evolve and change.
  • High level of integrity and management of confidential information.
  • Relevant certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is helpful but not required
  • Location: This role is onsite and based in Bothell, WA
  • 25% domestic and international travel required 

 

Salary range - $171,000 - $230,000  (Compensation will vary based on skills, experience and location; it is not typical to be hired at or above the top of the salary range).

 

Full-time employees who are not on a commission plan are eligible for Verathon’s annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance.
