Overview

Verathon® is looking for a Buyer II/Planner to become the newest member of our Purchasing Department located in Bothell, WA. In this role, you will perform a variety of purchasing assignments, to ensure we achieve our corporate goals relating to raw inventory availability, supplier costs, on-time delivery and quality.  If you are an experienced and driven supply chain professional looking for a new challenge in a rapidly growing business with a purpose of making a real difference in today’s world, then the Buyer II/Planner role at Verathon is the job you have been looking for.

Responsibilities

• Place purchase orders for direct & indirect materials while ensuring supplier commitments are met 
• Manage assigned inventory within predefined Min/Max levels and countermeasure as needed
• Negotiate with suppliers to mitigate potential delivery issues before escalating to leadership
• Analyze supplier responses and make recommendations to business when there are constraints
• Closely monitor supplier OTD and escalate as needed 
• Escalate EOL/LTB decisions and associated supplier negotiations (e.g. pricing, lead-time)
• Collaborate with A/P team members to promptly reconcile PO/invoice discrepancies
• Work with MRB team to process RTV’s in a timely fashion
• Respond to and update ECR’s and ECO’s as needed
• Work with Suppliers and Verathon employees to return non-conforming material to suppliers (RMA Returns)
• Identify potential supply chain risks and offer creative solutions
• Participate in Supplier Business Review meetings as needed
• Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 3 years minimum of purchasing experience
• Experience purchasing direct materials as well as indirect materials (consumables used by Manufacturing)
• Experience managing VMI programs preferred
• Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and present information 
• Ability to create partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Understanding of MRP, bill of materials, engineering change order processes 
• Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel. Epicor experience a plus
• Travel up to 10% of the time is required
• APICS and ISM Certifications are preferred

  • Salary range - $69,180.00 - $91,060.00 (Compensation will vary based on skills, experience and location; it is not typical to be hired at or above the top of the salary range).
  • Full-time employees who are not on a commission plan are eligible for Verathon’s annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance.
