Verathon® is looking for a Senior Program Manager to become the newest member of our Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) team located at our global headquarters in Bothell, WA.

The Senior Program Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the management and execution of complex programs that directly contribute to Verathon's strategic goals. This position requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of project/program management methodologies, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to drive cross-functional teams to success. Proficiency in Lean tools, including leading process improvement or Kaizen events, is essential. Additionally, you will help refine program management best practices and manage the prioritization of strategic projects and programs.

Responsibilities

Project/Program Management

  • Lead and manage multiple large-scale programs from inception through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain detailed program plans, including schedules, risk management, and stakeholder communication strategies.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define program objectives, success criteria, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure alignment of program activities with the company’s strategic objectives and business priorities.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination among cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Lead detailed planning, implementation, and project governance with business owners to achieve operational excellence.
  • Identify potential issues or risks and implement mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Work with project sponsors and leadership to identify and address cross-project dependencies.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices and lessons learned from previous projects.
  • Prepare and present program status to executive leadership and stakeholders with a deep understanding of the project plan and risks.

 

Process Improvements

  • Identify business process improvement areas and effectively implement changes.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to charter and run process mapping events to map out current state processes and prioritize opportunity areas.

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
    • PMP Certification is strongly preferred.
    • 7+ years’ experience managing projects or programs.
    • 3+ years’ experience leveraging Lean principles/tools.
    • Proven track record of successfully managing large, complex programs with cross-functional teams.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to identify and manage risks effectively. 
    • Ability to navigate and manage organization dynamics and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Experience using Project Management software (Smartsheet, JIRA, MS Project).
    • Capable of thriving in a dynamic environment while effectively managing multiple priorities.
    • Experience with change management procedures and process documentation.
    • Direct experience in leading Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement activities.
    • Experience in the medical device industry is a plus.
    • Direct experience and successful track record of global project management.

 

Salary range - $136,948 - $178,497  (Compensation will vary based on skills, experience and location; it is not typical to be hired at or above the top of the salary range)

 

Full-time employees who are not on a commission plan are eligible for Verathon’s annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance.
